Biography Phil was bitten by the show business bug at the age of 8, when he saw Les Dennis and Dustin Gee during their 1984 summer season in Great Yarmouth. He was so impressed with Les and Dustin's impressions that he began to copy them and started to entertain family and friends with his version of Mavis Riley, Prince Charles, Larry Grayson and Tommy Cooper. In March 1985, thanks to his mum writing the letter, Phil appeared on BBC's 'Jim'll Fix It' alongside the duo themselves. After that he started to enter local and national talent competitions, becoming overall winner of the Ladbrokes holidays 'Stars of Tomorrow' final in 1988. Subsequently Phil went on to work with P&O Cruises as a DJ and then Entertainments Manager for Shearings holidays. It was during this time he began to work on and perform his tribute to Tommy Cooper. Such was his success with the tribute act that he was invited to join the UK tour of 'Jus' Like That!' as understudy for Jerome Flynn, and directed by Simon Callow Phil has delighted audiences across the country with his tribute show to Tommy Cooper leaving them amazed at the similarity both visually and vocally. Christmas 2003 he was invited to Caerphilly in Wales, where Tommy was born, to switch on the Christmas lights. His appearance there was such a success he has been asked to perform at the towns annual 'Big Cheese Festival' in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. He has also had the honour of performing to members of the Cooper family and has received positive comments from them. Phil has toured with production shows for Qdos Entertainment, and completed two tours for Chaplins Pantomimes including; Ugly Sister in 'Cinderella' and Long John Silver in 'Treasure Island'. During 2006, Phil enjoyed a successful season appearing in 'The Great British Variety Show' at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre in Eastbourne. He appeared on BBC's 'Look North' and began working on another cabaret show in addition to the tribute act which he performs as himself. The summer of 2007 has seen Phil performing at Thomson Hotels in Corfu, Mallorca, Menorca, Portugal, Lanzarotte and Fuerteventura .
